Maryam, wife and mother of one child,  is a Canadian-Iranian hydraulic engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in civil engineering, research, and management in Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. She holds a PhD in hydraulics and hydrology from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, has conducted postdoctoral research at INRS, and has taught civil and mining engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal. For more than 17 years, she has worked at Hydro-Québec, where she puts her expertise to work for the broader community.

A resident of the Town of Mount Royal for more than 16 years, Maryam has always been involved in her community. She has contributed to local school activities, particularly in support of children with special needs, and has closely followed issues related to residential and commercial development, traffic, and safety. Concerned about the environment, responsible management of public funds, and transparency.

Maryam advocates for participatory governance desired by citizens. Her values of integrity, responsibility, respect, and collaboration guide her political commitment.

A dedicated runner, she believes in the importance of a healthy lifestyle and advocates for accessible sports and cultural activities for residents of all ages.
